The Selfridge Clinical Skills Center utilizes standardized patients to teach and assess:

• History taking skills
• Physical exam skills
• Communication and interpersonal skills
• Clinical reasoning skills

Learners interact with standardized patients who can portray a subject, evaluate student performance, and offer immediate feedback.

Currently, standardized patients are used with:

• Medical students
• Graduate nursing students
• Residents
• Masters in Bioethics students
• Dietetic students
