The Community and Global Health Scholars Program is a 5-year program for students who plan a career in Global Health and wish to pursue rigorous independent scholarship in this interdisciplinary field. The Scholars Program includes and builds upon the components of the CGH Honors Program, with an additional year of field experience in a low-resource setting, or the Global Health Fieldwork Fellowship. The additional scholarly and experiential requirements will culminate with the student graduating with an MD with Honors in Community and Global Health and the Global Health Scholar distinction.
CGH Honors students who are interested in participating in the Global Health Fieldwork Fellowship should apply in early January of M3 year. Students must be in good academic standing, as well as current on CGH Honors Program requirements.
The Global Health Fieldwork Fellowship year takes place in Palacios, Bolivia at the Centro Medico Susan Hou (formerly known as the Centro Medico Humberto Parra).
