Welcome to Loyola University Chicago's Health Sciences Division

The Office of Faculty Administration and Human Resources welcomes you to Loyola University Chicago.

The Health Sciences Division New Faculty Orientations are held in the Spring and Fall. Information regarding the events will be sent via e-mail to new faculty.

Important Steps for New Faculty and Research Associates

The Employment Eligibility Verification form should be completed within 3 days of the start date on your appointment letter. In some cases this may be completed within your department pr you may also visit the Office of Faculty Administration, SSOM Room 180 to complete the verification form. Descriptions of the process and acceptable forms of identification can be found in the New Hire Packet above.

New faculty hires must complete federal and state tax withholding forms. For faculty working outside of the state of Illinios (e.g online only instructors) additional requirements may exist. Click here for additional information that applies to out-of-state employees.

Schedule Date for Faculty Benefits Orientation and Review Benefits Options

Your department's administrator will contact you with information about any upcoming Faculty Benefits Orientations. You must attend this separate benefits orientation in order to choose your benefits elections. For more information on available benefits, please visit:

Request Letters of Recommendation and Collect Other Documentation for your Faculty Appointment Review

The Stritch School of Medicine requires all faculty to be reviewed for appointment by the School's Committee on Academic Rank and Tenure.

Additional documentation may be required for these reviews. Please contact your department's administrator or the Office of Faculty Administration for additional information.

Complete Payroll/Benefits Information in Lawson

Once you have completed the Benefits Orientation and are ready to make your benefits elections, log into the Lawson Portal using your username name and password, and choose your benefits to enroll.
