September Administrative Updates and Events
September 21, 2017
Dear Loyola Health Sciences Community,
The academic year is now well underway and it has been exciting to see our entire community come together over the past month at events such as Faculty Convocation, the White Coat Ceremony, and the Senator Durbin press conference in support of our DACA status students. I continue to be proud of how our faculty, staff, and students live out our Jesuit, Catholic mission and come together with dignity and respect to tackle the most complex issues.
As I stated in my Faculty Convocation remarks, this academic year is about efficiency, growth, and investing in our future. I challenged you last year to come forward with ideas that will move our institution ahead and I was overwhelmed by your response. We have begun envisioning many new academic programs including the recently launched online-hybrid Accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing that will reach the far southwest suburbs and a new Masters in Clinical Lab Sciences that was recently approved to begin in fall 2018.
I continue to ask for your creative ideas as well as your collaborative partnership, so together we can build on our strong foundation in health sciences education, practice, and research. There will be many opportunities for you to connect with me and other University leaders this fall. I encourage you to join us at one or more of the events below.
