January Administrative Updates

Dear Loyola Health Sciences Community,
We are off to a busy start to the year. I want to take a moment to share with you a few of our successes, and provide an administrative update.
Our students continue to live out our mission and support the work of the University’s strategic Plan 2020 including Niehoff students who are part of Loyola’s Community Nursing Center program, Stritch student Maria Georgen who leads an initiative that helps empower survivors of stalking and domestic violence, and Stritch PhD student AnnaDorothea Asimes who is first author of a study that says teenage binge drinking can affect brain functions in future offspring. Our faculty and staff continue to advance Loyola’s mission and reputation as well. Read about the work of Patrick J. Stiff, MD, our most recent Stritch Medalist, in the Daily Herald. And congrats to the team that helped the Center for Translational Research and Education receive the recent distinction of LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Gold certification.

Stritch Dean Search
One Stritch dean search faculty open forum remains on January 30 from 12-1 p.m. in Leischner Hall. If you have already attended an open forum, please click here to provide feedback through the online form.
Lunch/Breakfast with the Provost
Additional opportunities to meet over lunch or breakfast have been scheduled for February 21, March 7, and March 30. All are filled on a first come first serve basis. An RSVP to Diane Ziomek at email@example.com is required. Click here for additional information.
HSD Town Hall
Save the date for the spring Health Sciences Division town hall on April 26 at 4 p.m. in the Center for Translational Research and Education auditorium. A small reception will follow.
Harassment Prevention Training
As a reminder, Human Resources has partnered with Workplace Answers to conduct online Harassment Prevention Training for all staff and full-time faculty members at the University. Completion of this compliance training is required and is central to our efforts to ensure that all faculty and staff have the opportunity to work in a safe, respectful, and inclusive campus community. Thank you in advance for completing this compulsory training by February 7.
