Berklee Robins, MD, MA, has been appointed to the Institutional Ethics Committee and named Senior Scholar, Center for Ethics in Health Care, Oregon Health and Science University.  He completed the Master's in Bioethics and Health Policy (2016) from Loyola.

Michael Miller, Jr, MA, received the 2017 Tomorrow's Leaders Award, Catholic Health Association.  He completed the Master's in Bioethics and Health Policy (2015) from Loyola.

Patrick D. Herron, DBe, was elected to serve on the Board of Directors for the Academy for Professionalism in Health Care (APHC). He was was also honored with acceptance into Albert Einstein College of Medicine's Leo M. Davidoff Society and selected by the Class of 2017 as recipient of the Samuel M. Rosen Award for outstanding teaching. He completed the Doctorate in Bioethics (2014) from Loyola.

Ruth Mickelson, JD, MPH, MA, was recently appointed Chair of the Board of Directors, Health Partners, Bloomington, MN. She completed the Master's in Bioethics and Health Policy (2009) from Loyola.

Michael A Rubin, MD, MA, has been named Chair of Ethics, as well as an ex officio member of Ethics, Law, and Humanities Committee (ELHC), for the American Academy of Neurology.  He completed the Master's in Bioethics and Health Policy (2013) from Loyola.

Jenna Herron, DBE, MA, was recently featured in a video highlighting mission leaders by the Catholic Health Association. Jenna is the Regional Vice President, Mission Integration at Saint Francis Health Center in Topeka, KS. She completed her Master's in Bioethics and Health Policy (2014) and Doctorate in Bioethics (2016) from Loyola.

Greg Manship, DBE, MDiv, was recently appointed to the St. Vincent Health (Ascension) Ethics Integration Committee, and also accepted appointment as Public Member to the American Psychological Association (APA) Commission on Accreditation (CoA). He completed the Doctorate in Bioethics (2014) from Loyola.

Sumaya M. Noush, JD, MA, has recently passed the Bar Exam, and accepted a position with Drinker Biddle & Reath, LLP, in Chicago, working in health care law.  She received her Master's in Bioethics and Health Policy (2016) from Loyola.

Kenneth L. Campbell, DBE, MPH, MBA, MA, was featured in the Chicago Tribune on November 11, 2016, along with Dr. Terry Mason, regarding a new study, "How Economics, Demographics Affect A Community's Health Concerns." He received his Master's in Bioethics and Health Policy (2007) and Doctorate in Bioethics (2016) from Loyola.

Kenneth L. Campbell, DBE, MPH, MBA, MA, was featured in the Chicago Tribune on July 25, 2016, "Health Center Gives Garden Crops to Patients." In addition, has accepted an adjunct teaching position with Robert Morris Graduate School of Management, "Transparencies in Outcomes: Applied Performance Measures." for fall 2016.  He received his Master's in Bioethics and Health Policy (2007) and Doctorate in Bioethics (2016) from Loyola.

G. Richard Holt, MD, MSE, MPH, MABE, DBE, has been selected the 2016 John J. Conley, MD, Ethics Lecturer at the annual meeting of the American Academy of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery, September 20, 2016, San Diego Convention Center he received his Master's in Bioethics and Health Policy (2008) and Doctorate in Bioethics (2012) from Loyola.

Jason Higginson, MD, MA, has been appointed Chair of Pediatrics at Brody School of Medicine, East Carolina University.  He received his Master's in Bioethics and Health Policy (2009) from Loyola.

Jonathan D. Stewart, JD, MS, RN, has been elected President of The American Association of Nurse Attorneys.  He received his Certificate in Bioethics and Health Policy (2012) from Loyola.

Stephen J. Squires, MEd, MA, PhD, has accepted the position of Vice President, Mission and Ethics at Mercy Health, as well as recently selected one of Tomorrow's Leaders 2016, by the Catholic Health Association of the United States.  He received his Master's in Bioethics and Health Policy (2005) from Loyola.

Cathy Taylor-Osborne, DDS, MA, has been awarded Dentist of the Year by the Kansas Dental Association (KDA).  Dr. Taylor-Osborne earned this honor, in part, for her efforts as presenter of several Ethics CE programs to KDA member dentists in 2015 and 2016 as well her advocacy and enthusiasm for promoting the benefits of the dental profession.  She received her Master's in Bioethics and Health Policy from Loyola in 2011.

Kahlia Keita, MA, accepted the position of Clinical Ethics Educator & Editor, Center For Ethics at MedStar Washington Hospital Center in September 2015.  Kahlia will be entering her final year of law school this fall at David A Clarke School of Law.  She received her Master's in Bioethics and Health Policy from Loyola in 2012.

Alyssa Burgart, MD, MA, has been appointed as Co-Chair, Ethics Committee at Lucile Packard Children's Hospital Stanford. She received her Master's in Bioethics and Health Policy from Loyola in 2010.

Michael Rubin, MD, MA, has been appointed Chair, Ethics Committee at UT Southwestern University Hospitals and Vice Chair of Ethics, American Academy of Neurology.  He received his Master's in Bioethics and Health Policy from Loyola in 2013.

Dawn Seery, DBe, MA, RN, has accepted the position of Director of Ethics Integration for the Ascension Texas Ministry Market. Responsibilities will include overall planning, operation and evaluation of services related to clinical, organizational and business ethics, and the implementation of proactive ethics integration in the clinical and organizational setting throughout the central Texas region, including Seton Healthcare Family affiliation with the new Dell Medical School, University of Texas.  She received her Doctorate in Bioethics from Loyola in 2012.

Jessie DeWeese, JD, MA, is currently serving as a fellow in the Cleveland Fellowship in Advanced Bioethics at the Cleveland Clinic.  She received her Master's in Bioethics and Health Policy from Loyola in 2015.

David Anderson, DDS, MDS, MA, has been appointed to a 4-year term with the Council on Ethics, Bylaws and Judicial Affairs of the American Dental Association.  He received his Master's in Bioethics and Health Policy from Loyola in 2012.

Ruth Sanborn, D. Bioethics, MA, has accepted a position as the Clinical Ethicist for Spectrum Health System in Grand Rapids, MI, western Michigan’s largest health care system.  As the Clinical Ethicist, Ruth is responsible for all clinical aspects of Spectrum Health’s ethics programs including ethics consultations across the system, and ethics education and formation of System physicians, staff, members, and within the communities in which they serve.  She works closely with individual hospital ethics committees and serves on the health system’s IRBs.  She received her Doctor of Bioethics from Loyola in 2015.  Ruth also completed a postdoctoral fellowship in clinical ethics at Loyola University Medical Center.

Cherie Sammis, DBe, RN, NP, has been named Director of Ethics Integration for Ascension Health Michigan, which includes both Ministry Market and national accountabilities. Working within the Ethics Department of Ascension Health, she is now responsible for the overall planning, operation and evaluation of clinical and organizational ethics education, training, consultation and integration throughout the state. She received her Doctor of Bioethics from Loyola in 2013.

Linda Axtell-Thompson, DBe, MA, is currently teaching business ethics and non profit social enterprise at Chaminade University of Honolulu, as well as healthcare administration, healthcare policy, and healthcare ethics at the University of Hawaii, West Oahu.  She received her Doctor of Bioethics from Loyola in August 2013.

Steven Squires, MEd, MA, PhD, was recently interviewed for The Catholic Telegraph, "Vaccination Decisions Must be Made with Informed Conscience."  In addition, he was Conference Chair for Bioethics Network of Ohio, 25th Annual Conference: Bioethics Past, Present and Future held in May 2015.  He received his Master's in Bioethics and Health Policy from Loyola  in May 2005.

Michael Redinger, MD, MA, has accepted the position of Assistant Professor, Department of Psychiatry and Program in Medical Ethics, Humanities, and Law, at Western Michigan University, Homer Stryker MD School of Medicine. He completed his MD/MA joint degree in May 2011.

Dalia Feltman, MD, MA, will be presenting her Master's Research Capstone, "Severe Congenital Anomalies in the Fetus or Infant: 'Best-Interests' Decision Making for Ambiguous Outcomes," at the 2015 Pediatric Bioethics Conference (held July 24-25, 2015, Bell Harbor International Conference Center, Seattle, WA).   She received her master's degree in bioethics in May 2015

Brian Jackson, MD, MA, has accepted the position of Assistant Professor, Department of Pediatrics at the University of Colorado School of Medicine.  Dr. Jackson also resides as faculty in the Center for Bioethics and Humanities, University of Colorado.  He received his master's degree in bioethics in December 2014.

Greg Manship, D.Bioethics, MDiv was interviewed on WGN Radio's "Wintrust Business Lunch," with Steve Bertrand, regarding Right to Try legislation. He received his doctorate degree in bioethics in May 2014.

Jason Higginson, MD, MA has accepted the position of Medical Director of the James and Connie Maynard Children's Hospital, East Carolina University in Greenville, NC. He received his master's degree in bioethics in December 2009.

Keith Swetz, MD, MA has accepted the position of Section Chief of Palliative Care, Birmingham Veterans Affairs Medical Center, University of Alabama School of Medicine, beginning this May.  He received his master's degree in bioethics in August 2012.

Jessica R. Hirsch, D.Bioethics has accepted the position of Education Coordinator, Biomedical Ethics Program at Mayo Clinic, and will also be teaching bioethics.  She received her doctorate degree in bioethics in August 2013.

Kerri Kennedy, RN, BSN, MA
Has accepted a position as Clinical Ethicist at Boston Children's Hospital. She received her master's degree in bioethics in August 2014.

Linda Axtell-Thompson, MBA, D.Bioethics
Will begin teaching business ethics in the MBA program at Chaminade University, a Catholic Marianist School in Honolulu.  She received her doctorate degree in bioethics in August 2013.

James Murphy, DDS, MA
Dr. Jim Murphy is the Project Director in Kenya for Health Volunteers Overseas.  He is an oral and maxillofacial surgeon who volunteered with his wife Barbara at the Kikuyu Clinic in 2012 and facilitated the partnership with Health Volunteers Overseas (HVO). Dr. Murphy was inducted into the International College of Dentists (ICD) Fellowship last year. He received his master's degree in bioethics in August 2011.

Dana J. Lawrence, DC, M.MedEd, MA
Dr. Lawrence is now the Vice-Chair of the Institutional Review Board for Genesis Hospital Systems in Davenport, IA, as well as Human Protections Administrator at Palmer College of Chiropractic.  He received his master's degree in bioethics in May 2010.

Greg recently published, along with fellow authors, Allen M. Hornblum and Judith L. Newman, Against Their Will. The Secret History of Medical Experimentation on Children in Cold War America. Patrick is the Vice President and Chief Mission Officer at St. Vincent, a Catholic Health Initiatives (CHI) health system.  He recently was published in the Kennedy Institute of Ethics Journal. The Affordable Care Act and Community Benefit: A Mandate Catholic Health Care Can (Partly) Embrace. 2013; 23(3).
