Ensuring Research Can Continue Over the Holiday Break

December 6, 2016

Dear Loyola Researchers,

You should have recently received a message from Dr. Rooney and Human Resources announcing the University will be closed the entire week following Christmas, December 26-30. We understand that our work in research sometimes cannot stop. With that in mind, the Center for Translational Research and Education as well as the Cardinal Bernardin Cancer Center will remain open for any necessary research and patient needs during this time. The Maguire Center will also stay on current schedules.

For researchers in the CTRE who plan to work over the break, please remember to have your Loyola ID as that building will be accessible by swipe access only. Both the Cuneo Center/Stritch School of Medicine and the Niehoff School of Nursing buildings will be closed during this time period. Lights and temperatures will be set to weekend levels and cannot be adjusted.

Please discuss holiday schedules with your faculty, staff, and supervisor to determine your coverage needs. If you have any questions about the building operations, please contact Matthew Hejna at mhejna@luc.edu.

Sincerely,

Margaret Faut Callahan, CRNA, PhD, FNAP, FAAN
Provost, Health Sciences Division
